LONGHAND , wedding stationery website case study
01 · The brief
The problem to solve
Stationers show catalogs. Longhand tells one love story.
Wedding stationery sites are template catalogs: fifty suites, filter by color, add to cart. Longhand works the opposite way: one couple at a time, everything drawn and lettered for them alone. A catalog format would have flattened the studio's entire value into a product grid. The brief was a site with the patience of the craft itself.
02 · The idea
One suite, envelope to ceremony
The site follows a single couple's suite from envelope to ceremony. Save-the-date, invitation, vow books, day-of pieces. Each appears in sequence as the page scrolls, the way the stationery itself arrives across an engagement. The signature moment is a name drawn in a continuous ink line, threading through the page like a ribbon through the suite.
The "Berry & Sage" palette and letterpress-inspired typography keep the screen faithful to the paper: soft, tactile, unhurried. Photography is shot close and warm: wax seals, deckled edges, ink still catching the light. Texture is the product.
The narrative format is also the positioning: a couple who wants a template won't make it past the first scroll, and the couple who wants Longhand will know within three.
