Curb appeal,

01 · The brief

The problem to solve

Lawn companies sell by the truck. Evergreen sells the finished yard.

Evergreen Property Care mows, landscapes, and plows for homeowners across Utica and Rome, New York. Before this site, its presence was a phone number and word of mouth. The brief: a site a homeowner can trust in ten seconds on a phone, get a real quote from without a call, and that loads fast enough on a rural cell signal to be worth the tap.

02 · The idea

Parchment, moss, one clay accent

The site sits on a warm parchment ground with ink-moss type and a single clay accent, set in Fraunces and Work Sans, so it feels like a well-kept yard instead of a fleet of trucks. Evergreen's own footage runs as a full-bleed hero on desktop; phones get a still and skip the download entirely.

Quoting is the conversion, so the instant-quote tool lives on the page and loads on first interaction, never blocking the first paint. Services are laid out as cards a homeowner can scan, with a dedicated snow plowing entry for the season that pays for the winter.

Underneath: self-hosted fonts, responsive image sets in AVIF and WebP, a hero video re-encoded to a fraction of its original weight, LocalBusiness structured data, privacy and terms pages with a decline-capable cookie notice, and a strict Content Security Policy with HSTS. Invisible, and expensive to skip.
