COVE & Stone, pool design-build website case study
01 · The brief
The problem to solve
Pool builders sell photo galleries. Cove & Stone sells the drawing.
Every pool builder's website is the same album: turquoise water, drone shots, a quote form. But a design-build studio doesn't sell water. It sells the thinking that happens before the excavator arrives. The brief was to make the website feel like sitting across the table from the designer, drawings spread out, decisions being made properly.
02 · The idea
The construction set
The site is drawn like a set of construction documents. A pinned cross-section builds itself as you scroll, shell to plumbing to coping to water line, the way a project actually goes into the ground. Sheet numbers, title blocks, and hairline rules replace the usual cards and carousels; photography appears the way a rendering appears in a drawing set: as the payoff, not the wallpaper.
The effect is a quiet credibility play. A homeowner about to spend six figures doesn't need another gallery. They need evidence of process. The one-pager unfolds the way the project will, which makes the studio feel exact before anyone has signed anything.
The build keeps the drawing metaphor honest: crisp line-work SVGs, scroll choreography that respects reduced-motion preferences, and a page that stays fast despite the theatrics.
